By now everyone has heard about the “contractors gone wild” in Kabul, so no need to get into the details. But as disgusting and discouraging as this story is (esp. on the heels of the Blackwater hookers ‘n wife swap fiasco a few weeks prior), the saddest part is that a common response, even among the outraged, seems to be: “Wackenhut who?” (with or without a bad joke) rather than, “Fucking Wackenhut, who were responsible for the systemic rape of women and girls in Texas prisons.” Among other things.
