The movie, called The Future, is July’s follow-up to 2005’s Me and You and Everyone We Know and involves a 30-something couple who plan to adopt a terminally ill cat who “who narrates his own sad tale,” according to a synopsis on the distributor Match Factory’s website.
— Oh my god. I have a fair amount of respect for Miranda July, but you’ve got to be kidding me. From the above description, this movie is going to contain more self-parody than a PETA campaign. I don’t know whether to barf or commit a random act of violence. At least it’s given me something other than gallows humor to laugh about today.
